Gail Condon Carter
Gail is a registered paediatric and general nurse who graduated from UCC with BSc Hons in Children's and General Nursing in 2011. Following on from working in the areas of general paediatrics and A&E in the CUH, Gail moved to Our Lady's in Crumlin where she worked in the areas of paediatric ENT, plastics and orthopaedics. Gail then attended Trinity College to study Speech and Language Therapy. It was while studying in Trinity that Gail started Writing for TINY. Writing for TiNY is an award-winning personalised children’s publisher which creates highly personalised books that address changes, worries and milestones (www.writingfortiny.com). Writing for TiNY has won multiple awards including Best Tech Start-Up, and the prestigious IBYE (Irish Best Young Entrepreneur) Best Start-Up and Best Entrepreneur awards. Gail is now focused on the growth of TiNY Health.
Dr. Mick Carter
Dr Mick Carter is a specialist registrar in paediatrics who graduated from UCD in 2009 with honours and embarked on his Paediatric career in 2010. He joined the Higher Specialist training scheme in 2015. He is a member of the RCPCH Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (UK). Mick’s area of interest is in paediatric neurology, and more specifically in neuro-inflammatory conditions. Mick is currently undertaking an NCRC funded Clinical Research Fellowship investigating the potential link between Maternal Immune Activation (MIA) during pregnancy and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in offspring.
